Geographical Indications as shared knowledge heritage. Reassessment of current models of regulation and collective action in the context of agro-ecological transitions.
A research project funded by the ANR: Gingko
After participating in AgroParisTech’s collective mission in 2023 on the four main karst poljes of Canton 10 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Livanjsko, Glamočko Kupreško, Duvanjsko), AIDA is back in the field!
This involves methodological and analytical support for research carried out as part of the Gingko project funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) entitled “Geographical indications as knowledge commons. Reassessment of current models of regulation and collective action in the context of agroecological transitions.” Claire Bernard-Mongin of CIRAD chose this field for the project, at our initiative, which is home to a dynamic GI highlighted by the work of the collective mission of the AgroParisTech Master’s auditors (2023): Livanjski Sir.
AIDA—through Orianne Crouteix and François Lerin—facilitated and co-supervised a six-month internship for two students from the Institut Agro Montpellier, who were joined by a Bosnian student. to provide the survey and landscape analysis data in its possession; to participate both in the presentation of this survey to local and national Bosnian stakeholders; and in a reflection on potential measures to protect these landscapes and remarkable morpho-pedological structures – and the pastoral farming activity that also shapes them in part.
